I started my Health & Social Care with Richmond Training on the 8th Feb 2016. After a rocky start I gained a very experience assessor this made a huge difference for me.
I felt a little deflated when I first met her and explained what I was worried about and she listened and took her time in explaining my apprenticeship and each part, she reassured me and I felt comfortable with her straight away and knew it would be okay.
I didn’t have a lot of confidence with exams or explaining things in writing. She gave me training and support with my exams and was very patient. She even helped me with my confidence. I was still nervous sitting my exams but she had faith in me, which gave me faith in myself and I passed I was so pleased.
She also helped me look at different ways to express what I wanted to write. I feel confident talking so she said we can recorded our discussions and she shown me where it linked to my qualification, which was great as I could literally see progression in-front of my eyes.
